TRIBUNJABAR.ID, BANDUNG - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin invited the public, including business circles and the mass media to support the presence of the Whossh Fast Train as the first electricity-based, environmentally friendly mass transportation in Southeast Asia.

"KCJB happens to be in Bandung. We have to welcome it, don't let there be complaints from friends that (the station) is still empty," said Bey via digital broadcast, Tuesday (26/9/2023) Indonesia Western Time.

Currently the Whossh Fast Train is being tested for free to the public. From the two stages of free registration, West Java residents were enthusiastic. Bey is optimistic that when it is paid, people will still be enthusiastic about riding the fast train.

"In time, we estimate that quite a few people will want to just try. Don't let them try and then the badger liesuk hangkul dieu keeps coming back," said Bey.

According to Bey, the Whoosh Fast Train can be used by many stakeholders, such as the tourism sector, to become the preferred mode of transportation in various tour packages.

"So you have to take advantage of it, whether it's a tour package or something," said Bey.

The Provincial Government will also promote West Java crafts and MSMEs by making three stations in West Java, namely Tegalluar (Bandung Regency), Padalarang (West Bandung Regency), and Karawang as places to display various MSME products.

"At the station there are sales of all kinds of regional crafts," he said.

To support the Whoosh Fast Train, PT Kereta Indonesia Daop 2 Bandung has prepared a Bandung - Cimahi - Padalarang feeder train (KA) to support the integrated connectivity of the Whoosh Fast Train.

The feeder train will transport fast train passengers from Padalarang Station to Bandung Station or vice versa with a travel time of 19 minutes.

With feeder train operations totaling 72 trips every day, consisting of 36 return trips from Padalarang-Bandung with a waiting time between trains of 25 minutes.

By using a diesel electric rail train (KRDE) produced by PT INKA, each series of Feeder Trains consists of four trains.

In one series, the KCJB feeder train has a capacity of 200 passengers.

For feeder train infrastructure, under construction there are special waiting rooms for customers at Bandung and Cimahi Stations and have been 100 percent complete.

Meanwhile, the construction of a special waiting room for customers at Padalarang Station is still in the final stages of completion.

The feeder train has carried out a series of trials with various scenarios to ensure travel time for the Bandung - Padalarang route, traffic recognition, clearance, power on hills and braking, all of which run smoothly.
